Mike Dirksen
Mike Dirksen is a first-year at the University of Chicago studying Mathematics, Economics, and Computational and Applied Mathematics. He is currently a Trader on the Energy and Industrials team at Maverick, where he helps evaluate macro and equity-level opportunities across the sector. Outside of Maverick, Michael is involved with the UChicago Behavioral Economics Association, the International Leadership Council: Finance, and DGQT. This summer, he will be interning in Investment Management and conducting research at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, with plans to be based in either New York or Chicago. Looking ahead, he is exploring career paths in investment banking and quantitative finance. In his free time, Michael enjoys weightlifting, boxing, running, and trying new restaurants with friends. A dedicated Steelers fan, he also enjoys spending weekends downtown with his friends.
